About/Book Info

Valarie Kinney is a writer, fiber artist and Renaissance Festival junkie with a wicked caffeine addiction. She is the author of  Heckled, Slither and Just Hold On, and the editor and narrator for Dragons of Faith. Valarie writes about a variety of life experiences which will not be advertised on this particular page. If you’re interested in knowing more about those experiences, the home page of this blog is available for your viewing pleasure. (For FREE. And who doesn’t love FREE viewing pleasures? I know I sure do!)

Her writing involves a great deal of sarcasm and perhaps a bit of self-deprecation, unless she is extremely emotional during a writing burst, in which case you may expect a great deal of self-deprecation and even more sarcasm.

And then there are her fiction pieces, which she claims are so fantastic they will reach places in your soul no other writer in history has struck deep enough to find, because she also suffers delusions of grandeur.

Heckled chronicles the life of a man locked in battle with his own mind, and the struggle he faces as he attempts to beat crippling depression, anxiety, and alcoholism.

Slither  details the life of a woman who escaped her abusive, snake-entity-worshipping family. She thinks she is safe…until Slither comes for her.

Valarie’s first novel was released in April of 2014. “Just Hold On” is a story about love, loss…and love. It’s a story about pain and redemption, agony and hope, and what might happen when the grief of the past colors the chances of the future. It’s a story about how even the darkest night can be survived, if you have someone to hold onto until the dawn.
